Tai Chi Qigong

        

    Qi means breath, energy and gong means skill or exercise. Therefore Qigong (Chi Kung) can loosely be translated as breath or energy skill. There are many many forms of qigong, some for health, some for enhancing martial arts and even others for enlightenment. Some styles of Qigong are sitting other standing, some still others moving.
    The Qigong taught at the Tai Chi Colorado Springs Boxing Association is Qigong developed to enhance Tai Chi. Very simple exercises with very deep and profound theory. 
    Qigong benefits the body in many ways, from increasing metabolism, helping to defy age, healing the deepest parts of the body including the internal organs and even bone marrow, and many many more benefits. But it also increases vitality and power in an individual making their bodies stronger and impervious to many injuries as well as healing
them. 
    Qi Gong helps to increase relaxation, awareness, and sensitivity in the practioner, and all the qualities needed to become a successful boxer. or simply a healthy individual.
