Tai Chi Benefits
Tai Chi is a very breath orientated art form ( Qi Gong ). One must mold the movements to the breath, and when the movements are done as slow as possible the breaths become very long and deep. Also this will increase the oxygen in the blood improving vitality, stamina and eventually bringing one’s self back to the pliability of an infant.
The form consists of a certain amount of postures, depending on the style being practiced, and moving from posture to posture slowly and without pause. The body is pushed and pulled by the legs and the torso and arms are controlled by the waist. In the turning of the waist the spine is turned, loosened and eventually straightened to perfect posture, increasing circulation to the brain. This perfect posture will also cause the organs to sit perfectly in place allowing each one to function to the best of their ability. Tai Chi also strengthens, opens and loosens the joints of the body making the practitioner more comfortable and less prone to injury.
